NEW INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACADEMIC ASSIGNMENTS
Updated April 7, 2020
Dear Eagle Family,
With school closure extended at least until May 4th, we are adapting our school-work from home procedures in order to provide our students with relevant learning opportunities and insure the greatest possible degree of educational continuity during this crisis. Please make a note of the new procedures which go into effect Thursday, April 9th.
Students will be assigned at least one assignment per core subject during each week of the shutdown. This means at least 4 assignments per week.
Students will be required to submit completed assignments to their respective teachers on a weekly basis. Assignments must be turned in electronically, either by email, or screenshot & text. Assignments will be graded and recorded.
On-line instruction is the preferred method of delivery. Students and Parents should log onto the “Teacher Pages” found at www.asisd.com to obtain initial assignments and instructions. If internet access is not possible, a hard copy packet may be obtained on Thursdays from 4:30pm-6:30pm.
Teachers will maintain virtual office hours each Monday-Friday from 10am-12noon. Students may contact their teacher(s) via email, text, voice call, or zoom during these times to obtain assistance and/or clarification.
Our teachers will make every effort to contact each student on a weekly basis through various electronic methods to monitor student progress.
The District will continue to offer student meal pick-up service each Monday and Thursday from 4:30pm-6:30pm.
If I can be of help to you in any way, please call or text me at 936-671-0372 or email me at email@example.com.
Stay home and stay safe. We hope to see everyone back at school just as soon as possible.
Cody Moree, Ed. D.
