Re: Official Public Health Notice
On October 8, 2020, an individual on the campus of Apple Springs ISD tested positive for COVID-19. That person was isolated from the general population immediately upon presentation of symptoms and removed from school property within a few moments.
In addition to the daily mitigation cleaning done throughout the district, concentrated cleaning and disinfecting has been applied to all areas where the infected individual may have been present. Required notifications to state and local health agencies have been issued by the district.
At this time, school and school activities will proceed as scheduled. Unless you receive personal contact from the Superintendent, Principal or School Nurse, there is no need to alter your child’s normal school routine.
Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at 936-831-3344.
Thank you for your cooperation and support of Apple Springs ISD.
Cody Moree, Ed. D.
Superintendent of Schools
